Help us connect the dots

We're a small team building hyperlocal discovery for real life. Both roles below are open to college students who are currently enrolled — flexible, part-time work that fits around your classes and puts a little extra money in your pocket.

Who we are

Connect The Dots is a social discovery app that helps people find who and what's happening right around them — waves, chats, connections, and local events. We ship fast, keep things simple, and care a lot about getting the small details right.

You won't find a dress code or a corner office here. What you will find is real work that real people use the moment you ship it.

A note on who these are for: both openings are for college students. They're designed to earn you some extra income alongside your studies, work around your timetable, and give you something real to put on your resume.

App Testers
College students Part-time Remote Flexible hours

Do you instinctively try to break every app you touch? Good — that's the job. We ship new versions of CTD often, and we need sharp eyes to catch the rough edges before our users do: the crash, the confusing button, the wave that quietly didn't land. You'll get early builds, put them through real-world use, and tell us exactly what felt off. You do it all from your phone, so it slots neatly around a student schedule.

What you'll do

  • Test new builds of the CTD Android app on your own phone
  • Walk through real flows — waves, chat, connects, events, profile — and note anything that breaks or feels clunky
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports: what you did, what happened, what you expected
  • Re-test fixes and confirm they actually hold

What we're looking for

  • You're a college student — this is built to fit around your classes
  • An Android phone and the patience to break things on purpose
  • A knack for noticing the small details most people scroll past
  • Clear written communication — a good bug report saves us hours

Event Curators
College students Part-time Remote Flexible hours

CTD is only as alive as what's happening nearby. We're looking for students to keep the Events tab full of things worth showing up for — the gigs, meetups, workshops, pop-ups, matches, and festivals across our focus cities. You'll track down real local events and add them to CTD so people there never run out of reasons to step out. You can do it all from your laptop or phone, wherever you're based — perfect as a flexible side gig while you're studying.

What you'll do

  • Research what's happening across Kochi, Bangalore, and Mumbai — concerts, meetups, workshops, sports, festivals, community events
  • Add clear, accurate listings to CTD: title, date, time, venue, and a short description
  • Keep the tab fresh — clear out what's passed, add what's coming up
  • Flag duplicates and anything that looks off

What we're looking for

  • You're a college student — you can be settled anywhere, no need to live in these cities
  • You can dig up what's happening in Kochi, Bangalore, or Mumbai — whether you know them first-hand or are good at tracking events down online
  • A few hours a week, on your own schedule
  • An eye for detail: right date, right venue, no typos
  • Comfortable using the CTD app on Android

How to apply

Send your resume to the address below with the role in the subject line, and a line or two on why you'd be good at it — including where you're studying, your course, and your year. No cover-letter theatrics needed; just be yourself and be specific. We read every email and reply to the ones that are a fit.

Don't see your exact role but think you'd add something to CTD? Write to us anyway.
